NSF01 is back up
Title says it all.
OK, the next attempt is ready to go:
From Census:
The work on NSF01 will not be done this week. There is a problem on 3PAR’s
end, apparently. It turns out that they need to upgrade the frame, and
since we are not the only ones in the frame, they need to reschedule. At

We will, as usual, keep you posted.
The problematic filesystem (/mixedtmp/lehd3) has been successfully backed up.

As of 2009-07-16, 14:21, /temporary/saswork1 is back online as a 2.9 terabyte filesystem and is available for regular use.
Maintenance of /temporary/saswork1 will continue today. Census IT are still
working to fully diagnose the problem. Work will continue this afternoon starting around 1pm.
… to repair /temporary/saswork1. Scheduled for 7PM. “During this maintenance window, the server will be available;” but the directory will obviously be offline.
Update: did not happen.
“Requires further research”… we’ll keep you posted.
CSvD will complete work on restoring /temporary/saswork1 after last week’s disk failure. The filesystem will be unavailable for most of the day and should be back up and fully functional later this afternoon or by tomorrow morning. Successful completion will be notified to the NSF01 user mailing list.
