23rd Canadian Econometrics Study Group

The 23rd annual CESG meetings will be held in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Oct. 19-21, 2006.  The conference is hosted by Brock University.

Theme: The integration of economic theory, econometrics and empirical work

Guest speakers are Steven N. Durlauf (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Eric Ghysels (University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill).

All participants need to register for planning purposes.  Please note
that registration after September 30th is substantially higher.

For the hotel rooms block-booked for the conference, the reservation
deadline is September 18th.  Otherwise, we cannot guarantee

NSF01 temporary storage is … very temporary

Since 10/13/2006 09:29 AM, NSF01 is back online, and temporary storage mounted at /temporary/saswork1. However, the storage mounted there is on loan from Census CSvD (3TB from their 3Par SAN), and will need to be removed in the near future (it is thus “temporary” temp space) when the 7TB SGI storage becomes available. NSF01: temp storage still offline

NSF01: temp storage offline

Due to a disk failure on NSF01, /temporary/saswork1/ is currently not accessible. SGI support has been called, but the problem may not be resolved until tomorrow.  As an interim solution, the default -SASWORK has been pointed to /temporary/small/.
