The Census Research Data Center Program welcomes proposals to present papers based on current or recent projects carried out in a Research Data Center or using confidential census data. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. The 2005 Research Data Center Conference will be held October 27, 2005 at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY and is hosted by the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (www.ciser.cornell.edu). A paper by Abowd, Stephens and Vilhuber (2005), and the corresponding presentation at JSM2005, describe the confidentiality protection methods used for the Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI). The paper was presented in session 431 of the Joint Statistical Meetings 2005, in Minneapolis, MN on August 10.
